Lectures / Seminars:

• Start Date: 15 September 2026
• End Date: 18 December 2026
•  Examinations: There is no separate examination period. Exams will be held at the end of the regular lecture periods for both the winter and summer semesters.

Holidays and Non-Attendance Days (Winter Semester):

• 22 September 2026: Bulgarian Independence Day
• 01 November 2026: National Revival Day (Non-attendance day)
• 08-09.12.2026: Student Day (Non-attendance days)
• 24 December 2026: Christmas Eve (Partial holiday for some faculties)
• 25-26 December 2026: Christmas Holidays (Public Holiday)
• 31 December 2025 – 01 January 2026: New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day (Public Holiday)

Winter Break:

• Start Date: 21 December 2026
• End Date: 04 January 2027

Winter Sports Camp: (Duration: 14 days) Only available for students who stay for full year!

Winter Sports Camp: Only Erasmus students accepted for a full year of study are allowed to participate in the Winter Sports Camp organized by the National Sports Academy in Bulgaria. The program combines academic learning, physical activity, and the exploration of Bulgaria’s diverse natural landscapes. The course is hosted at the Academy’s dedicated training bases:

• Snow Sports – Held in the Vitosha Mountain area during winter.
• Duration: 14 days
• Credits: 6 ECTS
  • Start Date: Mid-January 
  • Fees: 14-day course: approximately 300 euro (Included in the price: Accommodation, Three meals per day, Use of all necessary equipment). 

The camps offer a unique chance to earn academic credits while exploring Bulgaria’s nature, gaining new skills, and connecting with fellow international students in an active and enriching environment.
