The fifth full partner meeting of the S2A Sport project was held together with the many other activities this week in the Academy. The aim of the project is to provide a programme for training the skills and knowledge for the middle level management in sport. The partners of the project are representatives of 12 European countries, and 4 of them are international organizations in all levels of sport. At the meeting the contents of the Competence Framework was signed off. It includes 29 Occupational Standards divided in 5 areas – Strategic direction; People; Resources; Operations; Sport processes and Activities. The pilot training to be held in September in Finland was also discussed. The choice of modules, the schedule and the lecturers to participate were established. Kirstie Simpson from University of Chester is going to be course director, as she is also responsible for the development of the next project output – the Handbook and Training Programme. Last but not least a discussion on the seventh final step of the project – the Guide for Quality Assurance and Sustainability, which is under the supervision of the National Sport Academy.
The next full partner meeting is going to be at the Final Conference in November 2017.
